Rabbi Ruth Gan Kagan is the founder of the Nava Tehila community in Jerusalem, and one of the leading voices in the Jewish spiritual renewal in Israel. A midwife of melodies, a prayer creator, and a ritual leader, Rabbi Ruth teaches Hasidism and Kabbalah in Israel and around the world, and works to renew the experience of prayer through music, community creation, and live presence. Rabbi Ruth serves as a mentor to rabbis, bards, and young musicians in processes of personal growth and community leadership.
Jewish Peoplehood Coordinator
Rabbi Nava is a spiritual leader, developing and leading spaces for prayer, creativity, and Jewish community renewal. She is set to replace Rabbi Ruth as the rabbinical leader of Nava Tehila, upon her return from shlichut in Canada in the summer of 2027. Rabbi Nava coordinates and leads the Nava Tehila Musical Tours in North America, and is in charge Israel and Diaspora relations within the organization.
Musical prayer leader
Dov Wieder is a singer-songwriter, guitar player, prayer and chant circle leader, and group facilitator. Dov leads the Nava Tehila Levite Circle in our prayers in Jerusalem and is the musical producer on the tours in north America
Volunteer musical circle
At the heart of Nava Tehila's prayers is our group of volunteer musicians who, together with the prayer leaders, create the special spirit of the our musical prayers. Every year we welcome rabbis and musicians from abroad as Levite interns offering their gifts and training in the Nava Tehila's special prayer methods.
