At Nava Tehila, we sing our prayers using original melodies created within our community. Our melodies, primarily for Kabbalat Shabbat, as well as for Shacharit, the High Holidays, Song of Songs, and sacred chant circles, have spread widely across Jewish communities in Israel and around the world and have inspired many cover versions.

In response to requests to learn, sing, and play these melodies, we record and upload informal versions to our YouTube channel. Sometimes you’ll see the composers singing directly to the camera, sometimes our Levite circle rehearsing for Kabbalat Shabbat, and more rarely, recordings from live performances. This offers a glimpse into the creative process and behind-the-scenes life of Nava Tehila.

Click the Sefaria button to access the full music archive. Alongside each video, we’ve added the words of the verse or prayer, together with links to free chords and sheet music, so you can sing, play, and bring these melodies into your own community or chant circle.

If you’re already familiar with our materials and want direct access to the sheet music and chords, click the Google Drive button.

Most of the melodies were composed by Daphna Rosenberg and Yoel Sykes, the primary prayer leaders of Nava Tehila in our early years, with additional melodies composed by Levites over the years. Scroll down to discover all the composers.
With love from all of us at Nava Tehila
