Leviticus 2024-2025
Julia Sabra is a Hebrew College Rabbinical student, singer-songwriter, musician and educator based out of Cambridge, MA. As a classically trained pianist and cellist from South Florida, Julia found her doorway into Judaism through music. She is currently serving as the Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator for Hebrew College and has worked as a song leader and cantorial soloist, traveling to unite communities internationally. She is passionate about prayer leadership and using music as a tool to inspire and amplify the voices of those around her, particularly through writing and teaching her own musical settings of liturgy and Jewish texts. Julia uses her text study to inform her music, and her music to deepen her text study.
During the 2024-2025 academic year, Julia lived in Jerusalem where she studied at Pardes, served as a Nava Tehila Levite, and formed the musical duo Merchav with Amalia Zeitlin, a fellow Nava Tehila Levite. Merchav will release their debut studio album, Min Hameitzar, in December 2026.

Holding myself back, and trying to "take up less space", does not do any favors for ANYONE! The more authentically and fully I show up as a leader, the more permission and inspiration I provide for those in the kahal to experience tefillah as the fullest, most authentic versions of themselves.
