Morning Workshops Saturday 12.10

9-10:15 am: Healing Yin Yoga with Laura Gilinski

Join us in turning inward, outward, up and down to begin the healing process and bring back the light through slow meditative yin yoga poses and deep breathing that opens the gates of the body and soul .

Laura Gilinski, is a prayer leader and the founder of Yoga Synagogue Ah! a growing Jerusalem-based community focused on reaching spiritually through the meditative power of yoga practiced in unique spaces of place and time.

10:25 am - 11:50 am: Teshuva and Beyond: Resting in Self-Compassion with Naomi Shifrin

Our sages and mystics have taught that Teshuva is a return to ultimate wholeness in the inner and outer worlds. In this workshop, we will sit in meditation, employing metta (loving-kindness) practices, to cultivate self-compassion and self-forgiveness. We will then explore the space that might be born from true teshuva: a compassionate, loving Inner Wholeness, perhaps. We will end with a circle of heartful sharing and deep listening.

Born in NYC, Naomi Shifrin is a student and teacher of Jewish meditation and mindfulness, vocalist, prayer leader. She sings and plays harmonium with Nava Tehila, and is currently training as a therapist/social worker in the hopes of contributing to healing in the collective.

12 - 1:30 pm Should I forgive myself? A workshop with Arieh Paris (Hebrew)

Is Teshuva something that is truly accessible and available to us, or is it a demanding act that requires complete dedication and endless work? What am I even supposed to ask forgiveness for, and from whom? If the DAY itself atones, then why even bother? Through connecting to the body, guided imagery, and silence, we will seek to enter a different space, a space of softness and reflection, and to come together into the heart of the day, to my heart and to your heart.

Aryeh Paris grew up in Jerusalem and returned after fifteen years of inner work and exploring consciousness in communities of diverse teaching traditions. He is working on a debut album of his music, created a deck of cards titled 'Gateway - A Moment to Myself,' and  is a healing practitioner of the Ilan Lev method.
