Noah Nahar Weinberg

Noah Nahar Weinberg is an educator, song leader, and farmer who believes Judaism comes alive when it's lived outdoors, in community, and in song. He spent the last decade as the Jewish Farmer Educator at Gann Academy, where he founded the Gann Farm. Noah continues to serve on the spiritual leadership team of Temple Beth Zion (TBZ) in Brookline, Massachusetts, where in 2017 he stepped into leadership of Shabbat Nariya, a service on the Nava Tehila model founded in 2015 by fellow Levite alum R' Micah Shapiro, growing it since into a staple of the Boston Jewish community. This fall, Noah is beginning a new chapter as Boston Hub Director at Adamah, launching their new Boston Community Impact Hub — bringing earth-based Jewish life to people of all ages across the city.

Noah's practice as a prayer leader was shaped chiefly by his time in Nava Tehila's Levites circle, as well as by his experiences at Eden Village Camp, the Adamah Fellowship, and studying with Joey Weisenberg at Hadar's Rising Song Institute. He grew up outside Chicago in a family of Jewish educators, and came to Boston to study Education at Tufts, where he founded a meditation and prayer community called Kavanah.

Noah is married to Aviva Nahar Welber, a fellow Nava Tehila Levites alum and a Rabbinical student at Hebrew College. Together they live in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, and can often be found wandering (and humming a niggun) among the trees in the Arnold Arboretum or swimming in nearby Walden Pond.
