Amalia Kelter Zeitlin

Amalia Kelter Zeitlin, M.M., is a musician, prayer leader, and Jewish educator originally from Las Cruces, NM. Amalia holds music degrees from Boston University and New Mexico State University. Though trained in classical violin, Jewish music has always been the gate to Amalia's soul, and her life path was forever changed upon attending a Nava Tehila Kabbalat Shabbat in 2015 while spending a semester abroad in Jerusalem.

Over a decade later, Amalia is now in a Jewish music duo called Merchav, where she sings, prays, and plays alongside fellow Nava Tehila Levite Julia Sabra. Merchav will release their debut studio album, Min Hameitzar, in December of 2026. Amalia is also the Educational Leadership Fellow at Kehillath Israel in Brookline, MA, where she works to cultivate the same open-hearted love of Judaism, the Jewish people, and all of humanity that has shaped her own journey.

One thing I learned from Nava Tehila:

It's always possible to go deeper into a melody or pasuk by repeating it in community, and noticing the subtle changes with each repetition.
