Nava Tehila gathers for big musical Kabbalat Shabbat once a month in Jerusalem (Baka'a neighborhood). All are welcomed. Our prayer service is innovative, egalitarian and accompanied by acoustic instruments. It flows between ecstatic chanting and dancing and contemplative, and is using mostly our own beautiful original melodies written by our members.
We regret not being able to host visiting groups due to space limitation and fire regulations. Individual visitors are always welcome. Please note that you need to come on time to have a seat... (though dancing is a very compeling option so seats are not always nececary)
Kabbalat Shabbat in the summer takes place between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. (in the winter 5-7) on Friday night once a month. We currently meet at the Spietzer Hall, located on the bottom floor of Kol Haneshama Synagogue, Asher Street #1 in Baka'a. On occasion we may meet in an alternative space. The exact times and location of this month's prayer are posted on the calendar and on our mailing list.
